‘Dramaworld’ Cast Returns For Second Season With More K-Star Cameos
Korean dramas are so addictively entertaining, they are easy to get lost in—and that’s generally a good thing. However, being suddenly transported into a k-drama, while you are watching it, could get complicated. That’s the premise of the first season of Dramaworld, which follows Claire (Liv Hewson), an American girl obsessed with k-drama and underwhelmed by her real life working in her father’s deli.

The second season sees the return of Hewson (Bombshell, The Santa Clarita Diet), Dulake (Operation Chromite) and Chon (The Twilight Saga, Gook) and the addition of notable new cast members: Daniel Dae Kim (The Good Doctor, Lost), Brett Gray (On My Block), k-pop star Henry Lau (A Dog’s Journey, Double World), and actress Ha Ji-won (Secret Garden, Manhunt), along with more cameos from k-pop and k-drama stars. The first season of Dramaworld features cameos from k-celebrities that includes actor-singer Choi Si-won, actresses Han Ji-min and Lee Ji-ah, and actor-singer-rapper YDG.
“We are incredibly proud and grateful to have been able to complete Dramaworld season two in the midst of a global pandemic,” said Dulake, who is also the co-founder, and president of Third Culture Content. “It’s not a situation we ever thought we’d be in, but we’re indebted to our incredible cast and creative team for delivering against the odds. The series is a true passion project, and at a time where South Korean content is flourishing on a global stage we are confident Dramaworld will super-serve both existing and new fans with romance, comedy and a little bit of magic.”
Following its 2016 debut, the 10-episode first season, which ran on Rakuten Viki, as a Viki original series, won accolades in South Korea, France and the US, including Most Popular Foreign Drama of the Year at the Seoul International Drama Awards.
“What the team at Dramaworld has put together is the most authentic mix of Hollywood and K-drama I’ve seen to date,” said Kim. “It’s a story well told at a time when there’s never been a larger appetite for truly globalized content.”
Dramaworld was created by Josh Billig and Chris Martin. Dramaworld: Season Two is a co-production between US-based Third Culture Content and South Korean production company Raemongraein (RMRI). Executive producers are Alex Cotraviwat; Dulake and Martin of Third Culture Content; YouTube co-founder Steve Chen; Jamie Chen; Dong Rea Kim of RMRI; Simon Lee, founder of AI linguistic data company Flitto; and Daniel Dae Kim. Endeavor Content is selling the project and will handle distribution for both seasons.

『ドラマワールド』は今年の3月にクランクインしたそうで、
コロナの真っ最中だったから、撮影は大丈夫かな？と凄く心配していたが、
無事にクランクアップできて本当によかった。
シーズン1ではチェ・シウォンさん、ハン・ジミンさんなどの韓流スターがカメオ出演したが、
本当に一瞬しか登場してなかった。😅
ジウォンオンニは今回カメオ出演ではなく、ゲスト出演だし、
主役であるリヴ・ヒューソンさんとも共演シーンが多そうで、
期待してもいいでしょうね。💖
そして今回はどの韓流スターがカメオ出演するのか、ちょっと楽しみです。😁
